Smokin' Bowls

Client: Private Client via The ARTdept. at LOOP Studio
Scope: Name, Logo, Tagline, Signage, Murals, Print Collateral, PowerPoint Presentation
An exciting new client came to LOOP Studio and the ARTdept. looking to capitalize on the hot trend of health-conscious poké bowls by adding a dramatic new gastronomic twist. His idea was to super-charge the bowls with liquid nitrogen smoking and pungent, squishy, crazy delicious "flavor bombs." His project directive was to create a bright and modern, science-infused hot spot that could ultimately be franchised.
LOOP Studio and the ARTdept. started from the ground up. We named the new entity, developed a logo and tagline, secured a domain and designed the 1600 sq. ft. interior, including space plan, graphics and interior signage.
Channeling our inner Einstein, we sought inspiration from the worlds of science and education and designed an interior that is a visual delight of color, creativity and chemistry. Using a clear, fresh color palette, techy modern furnishings and bold large-scale wall graphics, the finished space is light, bright and smokin' cool!
Various logo studies evolved from a playful, bubble tea-like aesthetic into a more simplified graphic mark that is easily reproduced, recolored and adapted for a wide variety of uses. The final logo was selected for its clarity, flexibility, reproducibility and allusion to atomic structure. The cheeky taglline speaks for itself.
The menu board continues the science theme and is meant to be designed and organized to resemble a colorful and flavorful periodic table of elements.
A COVID casualty, sadly the restaurant never came to life, but we have high hopes that it will be reconstituted in the future.
