Project SYNCERE

Supporting Youth's Needs with Core Engineering Research Experiments

Client: Project SYNCERE
Scope: Design & Print Production
The mission of Project SYNCERE (Supporting Youth’s Needs with Core Engineering Research Experiments) is to prepare the minds of underrepresented Chicago students and create pathways for them to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
PS’s core ENpowered programs serve more than 1,800 students annually and provide them with an early introduction to engineering through in-school and after-school programs, workshops and summer camps. Through the immersive E-CADEMY, middle and high school students engage in deeper engineering practices, visit engineering companies and interact with STEM professionals on Saturdays throughout the 9-month academic school year in order to prepare them for enrollment in post-secondary STEM programs.
PS is the brainchild of three African American professionals who learned the power of education and technology at an early age. During their time in corporate America, they observed a lack of diversity within STEM fields, so in 2008 they decided to facilitate change. They left their corporate jobs, harnessed their talents and resources and created Project SYNCERE. PS now provides learning opportunities to thousands of students who would have traditionally been under-represented in STEM.
Released in February 2024, the Impact Report I created served to update Board members and supporters on the organization's 2023 progress ahead of the release of their Annual Report in 4th Quarter 2024. The long infographic was produced as both a single web graphic and as a double-sided, legal-sized print handout.
